Snorkeling 101: Learn To Snorkel Class



70% of the world lies just below the surface and PADI's Discover Snorkeling is the first step towards exploring the underwater world. Take your first step with confidence with helpful tips and suggestions to make the most of your glimpse into the watery world. Snorkeling is a great way to be introduced to the oceanic world! You will learn how to clear water from mask & snorkel; Use your fins; Make entries & exits; Protect yourself from sunburn; Select equipment; Care of equipment; In just two hours, we will have you snorkeling! We do have equipment is available for rental. You will get a great certificate to show what you have accomplished.
Course Requirements
1. Must be at least 5 years’ old

2. Must be in good health
3. Must be able to swim and be comfortable in the water
4. Have an enthusiastic attitude and want to have FUN!
There is no minimum age for this program. All you need to do is a complete and sign a Discover Snorkeling Statement.

Materials and Equipment Needed
Materials Needed:
- Our Discover Snorkeling handout
Equipment Required:
- You will need your own Mask, Snorkel, Fins, Swimsuit, Towel, T-shirt you don’t mind get wet.
Cost varies depending on what pieces of equipment fit your specific needs. Please make an appointment with our staff for a personal fitting prior to your first class.
 
Course Scheduling
Orientation: Can occur anytime, just give us a call to come in and fill out paperwork and schedule your class and pool session.
Classroom: Consist of an hour of classroom discussion
Pool: In just one hour of pool time, we will have you performing the basics of snorkeling.
Open Water Dives: There is no open water dives for this course. However, we can arrange for a guided tour with one of our staff at an additional cost.
Your Instructor may adjust the schedule according to weather and conditions.

Snorkeling 102: Advanced Snorkeling Class

Skin diving is snorkeling while making breath-hold dives to observe aquatic life, up close and personal. It’s a great way to explore the underwater world when you’re not able to scuba dive or if scuba diving just, isn’t your thing. The PADI Advanced Snorkeling class teaches you how to enjoy watching life below the surface and comfortably venture underwater for short visits, whether you dive in a local freshwater lake or the big blue ocean. We do have equipment is available for rental. You will get a great certificate to show what you have accomplished.
 
Course Requirements:
1. Must be at least 8 years’ old
2. You need adequate swimming skills and comfort in the water
3. No prior experience is required
4. Must be in good health
5. Have an enthusiastic attitude and want to have FUN!
